I have a full slate of exhibition opportunities this coming year in cluding solo shows at Rice University's Matchbox Gallery
in March (reception and lecture on March 28th with live debut of "Le Merle Noir") and the Kansas City Artist's Coalition
Member's Gallery (dates TBA).
Some juried shows I will be include in are: "CU:29 Contemporary Works
in Copper" at the Mesa Art Center in Phoenix, AZ in correlation with the 2012 SNAG conference, The "Furniture and
Printmaking" show at The Arts Alliance Center of Clear Lake, on view in February, and "Heart of the Art" at
the 18 Hands Gallery in Houston. Plankton Stew for One has won first prize in this juried Houston Metal Arts Guild show.
I
am also in the beginning stages of a student collaborative public art project for a new building on the San Jacinto South
Campus and continuing work on "Le Merle Noir" with my colleagues.
Watch for my upcoming blog on Crafthaus
(http://crafthaus.ning.com/) which will discuss kinetic art from antiquity to contemporary practices.
